Rough week

Its been a long, rough week with soldiers lost, no communication, stress and worry and finally relief.
My heart breaks for the families of our fallen soldiers....I have no words to tell them how sorry I am or to thank them for their sacrifice for our country.
I do know this is going to be a long, stressful year.
Dave had hoped to come home in February for his 2 week R&R and now it looks like that will be pushed back to April. Theres always a chance it could change again and not be that far off but I am going to mentally prepare for April and if he gets to come home sooner...GREAT. But I won't set myself up for the disappointment of expecting earlier.

Hawkeye football season starts tomorrow and that will be bittersweet. Hubby and I are huge fans and it just won't be the same without him here watching with me.
